Design Summary:

Challenge: "Create a feature based off your morning routine."

Answer: I wanted to make a game about tea, because its how I always start my day!

Core Player Skills:

1. Precision | pouring

2. Measurement | filling mug

3. Timing | steeping tea

4. Puzzle-Solving | following recipes

Tea Rank: is determined by how perfectly players demonstrate mastery of the above skills.

​

Replayability: Multiple tea recipes and a highscore tracker invite players to brew each type of tea to perfection while tracking their progress / improvement.

​

Affordance: is achieved by visually grouping similar in-game elements, making their purpose and function more intuitive.

​

On-Boarding: a playable tutorial introduces one game mechanic at a time, helping the player learn without becoming bored or overwhelmed.
